Sub:  ISSUANCE OF WAY BILLS BY DEPOT <= /u>OFFICERS AND PAYMENT OF ENTRY TAX

 

(i) No “Way Bill” should be issue= d to the suppliers by the Depot Officers when provision of reimbursement of Entry Tax payable/reimbursable by Railways exists in the Purchase Order/Supply Order/Revised Supply Order.

(ii) “Way Bill” shall be issued t= o the suppliers by the concerned Depot Officers when it is specifically mentioned/provided in the Purchase Order/Supply Order/= Revised Supply Order.

(iii) When the= tenderers quote their rates that “Way Bill̶= 1; is to be furnished by Railways in their offers and silent about entry tax, the prevailing rate of entry tax of such stores of the place of the consignee s= tate should be added while evaluating their offered rates as issuance of “= Way Bill” implies payment of Entry Tax by Railways to the Commercial Tax Authorities.=

(iv) “Wa= y Bill” may be issued by Depot Officers to the transporters when Railway materials = are carried   by Railways from other places to the place of consignees of East = Coast Railway.

(v)  Depot officers should = prepare consolidated list of way bills issued in one calendar month in quadruplicate latest by 7th of the following month for all way bills issued and submit the same in triplicate to Associate Finance along with the way bills register (for internal check and return) and pay order for passing and preparation of cheque/DD to arrange payment lat= est by 14th of the month.  Associate Finance, after due verification of purchase order wise payment, should forward a copy of the list to Dy.FA&am= p;CAO(S&W) for posting of purchase suspense, while retaining the third copy.
