“TOUCH SCREEN”

On 13-04-2004 an E-TOUCH application system has been introduced in Eastern Railway. The application is using Client-Server Windows based architecture to provide an instant facility for the retrieval and display of information to the Railway employees. The employee can access the system by keying in the PF number on the numeric keypad displayed on the touch screen. A user-friendly screen of option buttons is provided to access pay roll information relating to PF, HBA and other advances, leave etc.

The system gives instant access to the employee and makes available regular updated data through transparent interface. The system has been introduced for HQ officers and staff and shall be gradually extended to the Divisions and Workshops.
