Sub: IRAS Platinum Jubilee Celebrations – Proceedings of the Inaugural Function-cum-Seminar held in New Delhi in December 2005.

 

Please refer to DO letter dated 26.4.2005 from EDF(C&RM)/Railway Board wherein you were advised about the preparation of the proceedings of the above function in a set of 4 CDs. You were also requested to advise your requirements of the CD-set so that the order for replication could be given.

 

Very few railways have replied to the above letter. Of the Railways who have responded, except for Southern Railway, other railways have only asked for a few sets each, much less than the number of IRAS officers on the Railway.

 

I am extremely disappointed at the response. The inaugural function of the platinum jubilee celebrations was a premier event about which every IRAS officer should be proud of. The CDs would be a collector’s item and would remain a permanent souvenir of the celebrations. The CDs having been attractively priced at an affordable Rs 60/-, I expect an overwhelming response.

 

I have advised EDF(C&RM) to order sufficient copies of the set for all IRAS officers. He will advise you when the sets are ready, so that they can be collected on payment of the requisite amount @ Rs 60/- per set.
