Training Division of the Department of Personnel & Training has received information about opportunities for studying abroad with financial support from Institutes/Universities/Agencies. Details of these programmes are as under:

1.  British Council Division

 

Chevening is the UK Government’s flagship scholarship scheme, aimed at future leaders, opinion formers and decision-makers. The programme is funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and managed by the British Council worldwide, supporting over 2300 international students annually to study in the UK.

2.  KDI School, Seoul, Korea

 

KDI School was established in 1997 in alliance with Korea Development Institute, Korea’s leading economic think-tank.  All the KDI School’s classes are conduced in English.  The institute is currently offering following programmes:

 

  • Master of public Policy (MPP)
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Ph. D. in Public Policy or Management

 

KDI School also offers scholarships for international students which cover full or partial tuition waiver, modest living stipend and additional work-study and research/teaching assistant opportunities. (www.kdischool.ac.kr).

 

3. National University of Singapore

 

National University of Singapore is offering “Master of public Policy (MPP)” course and scholarships for this programme. Details of the programme may be obtained from the University’s website (www.fas.nus.edu..sg/ppp).

 

Last date for applying to the above mentioned programmes/applications is generally 31-10-2004 /30-11-2004 for the current year.  However, these programmes are available every year. It is requested that the above mentioned programmes/scholarships may be circulated widely amongst officers in order to provide them an opportunity to apply for these programmes/scholarships.

 

A limited number of application forms for scholarships/programmes are available with Training Division and the same may be obtained from the office of the undersigned.
