A Case Of Divided Loyalty
Dogs are loyal to their
masters-- that is, until strong compulsions to the contrary prevail. In
Zwickau, Germany, a burglar proceeded to rob a butcher’s shop at night and took
his dog along. While the burglar emptied the cash till, the dog busied himself
with sliced sausages, which were plentiful. But police suddenly arrived at the
scene and the burglar decided to abort the operation. Dog lovers being what
they are, he called out the dog from the back door by whistling the dog away.
The dog seemed to be unwilling at being disturbed from the meal, which it was
enjoying and it ignored him. The burglar lost precious time in this, only to be
caught by the police.
