Billiards is Morally Harmful

The government in Tashkent has banned Billiards, saying billiard halls are a nuisance where people drink too much and there is thick cigarette smoke. Billiard players there are furious, but the Uzbekistan Billiards Federation has been wound up and the national team’s trip to Germany and Thailand for international tournaments has been called off. With the watchdogs of the government frowning on public drinking and smoking, the fear is that some more sports and games may vanish from the country’s map.
