Times
Pursuant to the instructions contained in your above referred to DO letter, I have spared no efforts in motivating my junior colleagues to shed off their shyness and freely participate in the discussions that take place on professional matters through the forum of IRAS TIMES.
You will be glad to know that during the last week, 4 of my officers had posted certain interesting and important messages relating to items of system improvements that have been attempted in their areas of working in the Message Board of IRAS TIMES.
Further, in my weekly coordination meetings with J.A. Grade officers and above, I make it a specific point to discuss the items relating to the ‘Best Practices’ that have been posted in the IRAS Times by officers of other Railways. For instance, on the basis of an item posted by Mrs. Nalini Kak, FA&CAO/W&S/, Central Railway some time back, regarding the attempt made by her relating to ‘electronic fund transfers’ to suppliers, we are in the process of issuing detailed instructions to adopt the same on SC Railway within the next 3 months.
