A well-known legal firm in
California, USA has the name, “Burger, Kahn, Shafton, Moss, Figler, Simon and
Gladstone”. Recently, they announced that they would now be known as “ Berger
and Kahn”. No, the remaining partners have not signed out of the partnership
deed. The change is intended to simplify the response, which the firm’s
receptionist has to give to phone calls. The company’s spokesman said, “We now
expect our receptionist to handle more calls!”
