Not Minding One’s Language

A mischievous parrot has been causing consternation for the church authorities and devout gatherings at St. Mary’s church at Mirfield, West Yorkshire, U.K. Perching itself at the church bell tower, the parrot has been hurling invective at men and giving wolf-whistles at women who pass by. For some time, this became an object of amusement, but then one day he hurled abuses and wolf-whistles at a funeral gathering. “ The way he flaps about on sombre occasions, tweeting profanity, is quite a sacrilege”, the vicar complained.
