The system ‘ND-TAMS’
has been designed for ‘New Pension Scheme’ (NPS). The
monthly recoveries from each employee i.e. Employee Contribution
(ECT) is to be sent to the trustee bank along with the matching
Government Contribution (GCT) for each employee by sending consolidated
cheque to the trustee bank for every tour and simultaneously uploading
the data file (SCF) on the NSDL website through FPU/FVU. Since the
existing NPS data is being maintained on different media in different
accounting units over Indian Railways, it is desirable to have a
system through which the data can be uploaded on the website without
delay. Those accounting units where the data is being maintained
manually, the monthly data, tour wise i.e. Subscriber Contribution
File (SCF) can be uploaded trough FPU designed by NSDL as per their
user manual available on their website www.nsdl.co.in. Every time
the SCF is uploaded, a file is created on the PC of accounting unit,
which can be saved for further reference of accounting unit, meaning
thereby, that if there are four tour payments there will be four
SCF uploads and hence four files on the PC of accounting unit. This
system has a small disadvantage as all the files of a particular
tour every month will be disjointed and will need to be merged if
all details of an individual employee are to be checked. In view
of this, a system has been designed in the name ND-TAMS, for which
installation and user manual are given here for guidance through
which the accounting units can generate SCF, upload through the
process given in the user manual with simultaneously having the
data base also.
In case the NPS system, in a particular
accounting unit is already computerized, the best method of uploading
SCF file is to generate a text file in the NSDL format for which
the format given by NSDL is attached as Annexure 1. However, if
the accounting unit decides to upload SCF through ND-TAMS it will
not be required to design the FVU file as it has been taken care
of in ND-TAMS. For ready reference all the interactions with NSDL
regarding the FVU file format have already been sent through e-mail
to DF/CCA along with the queries for ready reference in case some
accounting unit wants to improve it further.
