Revenge, Sweet Revenge!

We are all pestered by uninvited commercial spam messages on email and we grit our teeth and swear. That is because we cannot hit back. In western countries, there is cousin of this nuisance known as telephone cold callers. These could be financial investment brokers or maintenance companies which maintain household things like water connections, sinks, bath tubs, glass panes, and so on. What they do is to phone individual householders to ask if they need any help in investments, mortgages, or in repairing or mending their fixtures. Naturally, they are a pain in the neck.

In Duluth , Minnesota, USA, Marc Plainsted was one such victim and he got quite tired of receiving calls from a glass window maintenance firm, even after he had advised them not to call. So what he did was to call them up every five minutes and when they asked what they could do for him, he would just say, “No, I don’t have a crack in my window!” and hang up. He says this seems to have worked.
