Vigilance with Values-Addition: Contribution
by an IRAS officer
Many of the IRAS Officers besides their
signal services to the Railway financial Management have distinguished
themselves in other Organizations also. One such Officer who has made
such outstanding contribution is Mrs. Vijaya Kanth, who has served on
deputation as the Executive Director (Vigilance) of the Chennai Petro Chemicals
Limited, a large public sector Organization.
I understand from my friends from the
organization that she made a remarkable contribution in streamlining the
procedures and in strengthening the executive arm. They have mentioned
that she had fulfilled long felt important need of the Organization by bringing
out a comprehensive Vigilance Manual. Not only that; she had a perfect
symbiosis with the management and brought out other manuals which had greatly
enhanced the managerial process like materials manual, works manual etc.
I am told that the executives of CPCL, grateful of her services, would have
preferred her continuing there in the organization that would have greatly
enhanced the synergy in the top management of CPCL. Her yeoman services
were specifically highlighted at the Directors' Meeting by the Chairman and
Managing Director, who also put on record, his appreciation to Mrs. Vijaya Kanth.
Are not such worthy colleagues the pride of our service?
